What should I look for when hiring a painting contractor?

Someone with experience, great references, general liability insurance, and someone you trust to be in and about your home

How do I know you are licensed and insured?

We maintain General Liability coverage at all times, and provide a Certificate of Insurance upon request. Charlotte- Mecklenburg no longer requires painting contractors to have a license.

Can I leave my home while your painting crew works?

Customers have full confidence in our company, and oftentimes run errands, go to work, or even leave on vacation while we are beautifying their home.

Do you have references?

References are available upon request; testimonials are found on my website.

Do you have examples of work you've completed?

What kind of paint do you use?

I predominantly use Behr/ Home Depot and Sherwin- Williams. If you have a personal preference for another brand, I can accommodate that as well. It is worth noting that almost any line's colors can be matched by other paint companies.

What is the best season to paint?

Modern paint components allow nearly year - round work in our area. As long as daytime temps are above 35 degrees, we are good to go.

What can I do to make the project go more smoothly?

While we take care of moving furniture and other heavy/ bulky items, we do ask that you remove decorative objects such as artwork and fragile items prior to our arrival.

Who will be there to answer my questions or to address any concerns I may have throughout the project?

The owner and foreman are always onsite to handle any concerns or issues that may arise.

Do you charge for estimates?

Estimates are always free of charge!

How do you determine the amount you will charge for my painting project?

Project pricing is determined by three key factors: size and scope of work, total hours labor, and supplies and materials.

What do we do if you find dry rot?

Any rotten or deteriorating areas will be brought to the attention of the homeowner. We repair and replace with PVC material.

What hours do your crews work?

We generally work 8 hour days.

How will my personal property be protected from paint?

All areas are protected from paint, including shrubbery.

What are the different sheens?

Paints come in flat, satin, eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, and high gloss finishes.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of flat paints?

Advantages - hides imperfections better, better touch-up, provides a smooth appearance
Disadvantages- wall surfaces will be more difficult to clean

What are the advantages/disadvantages of higher sheen paints?

Advantage- more light reflection, stands up to high traffic, stain resistant
Disadvantage- imperfections are more noticeable

When do I pay you?

No payment is collected until the job is done to your complete satisfaction. We never require a down payment.
